Knotweed Services (UK) Ltd carried out a Japanese Knotweed excavation for a car park development at Shrewsbury Flax Mill – The restoration of a Shropshire heritage site – Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings is thought to be the worlds first iron-framed building and is considered a forerunner to the modern skyscraper.
One of the most important historic buildings in the world is being brought back to life with the launch of a visitor centre.
A £20.7m grant has been awarded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund enabling regeneration work.
SITE SURVEY
JKW was identified on the land owned by Network Rail, immediately behind the growth identified on subject property. Barrier membrane will be required to stop JKW encroaching back onto subject property.
