Knotweed Services (UK) Ltd was commissioned to conduct a Japanese knotweed Dig and dump at a property in Lincoln. The site consisted of a large semi-detached residential property sitting in a large plot with significant land and gardens to the front and the rear.
The Japanese Knotweed was visible within and surrounding the front wall of the property. There were multiple crowns throughout the stands which showed significant age. There was a significant spread of the plant throughout the front of the property, the main body of the Japanese Knotweed stands were immediately within the boundary of the property against the boundary wall which had suffered considerable damage over time and had lost approximately half of its original height.
The Japanese Knotweed was visibly spreading to the front garden path, where there was evidence of soil spill-over onto the path with visible new shoots of Japanese Knotweed which meant for urgent control and removal of the Japanese knotweed ready for the customers construction works to begin.
The client agreed with excavation, screening & disposal of the Japanese Knotweed.
As part of the excavation and waste management process, CAT scanning was conducted to identify any underground services near the work area, ensuring that the excavation did not disrupt existing utilities. Once the site was thoroughly assessed, the Japanese Knotweed and contaminated soil were safely excavated.
The waste was transported to a licensed landfill site for disposal, in full compliance with EPA 1990 Duty of Care guidelines. A thorough soil analysis was performed to determine the most appropriate disposal location, ensuring environmental safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
Following the completion of the excavation works, we cleaned and re-lay a temporary driveway for the customer.
Well done to everyone involved for getting this job completed within timeframe and budget
