At a former public house in the West Midlands, a persistent problem threatened the charm and safety of the establishment: a large Japanese knotweed infestation measuring 1500sqm. Determined to reclaim the site and pave the way for future development, our team embarked on an ambitious excavation project. Despite facing relentless wet weather conditions, the project was not only completed successfully but also finished in a remarkable eight weeks, ahead of schedule and within budget.
In order for our client to secure planning permission for the site, it was crucial to remediate the invasive knotweed. This was essential to pave the way for development at the former pub site. Unfortunately, this job wasn’t all plain sailing. We faced persistent rain, which posed a threat to the work programme. However, we didn’t allow these challenges to hinder our progress. With determination and resourcefulness, we addressed each obstacle directly, coming up with innovative solutions to ensure the project stayed on track.
