We were contacted by our client to carry out a survey in the Dudley area. Our client was looking to extend an existing car park at a residential care home. During the clients planned works, Japanese Knotweed was identified on site so a survey was required.
During the site survey, our technician recommended an excavation due to the planned works of extending the car park. Approx. 15m2 area of Japanese Knotweed was identified at time of survey, approx. 5 years in maturity.
Knotweed Services (UK) Ltd agreed to treat the Knotweed identified within the survey to an agreed schedule. The area is classed as being contaminated with Japanese Knotweed (Controlled Waste) therefore any work on the area will need to be carefully managed to avoid cross contamination of Japanese Knotweed or spreading any Japanese Knotweed to any clean areas of the site. The amount of Controlled Waste produced can be greatly reduced by careful excavation supervised by an experienced person who can reliably identify Japanese Knotweed Rhizomes.
