Background
Our team have recently completed a Dig and Dump job to remove all Japanese knotweed from a site in Birmingham where they are looking to demolish an old motorcycle showroom.
Our client expressed that they wished to fully excavate the Japanese knotweed due to the demolition and building works they have planned, so a 5-year herbicide treatment plan wouldn’t meet their needs.
The Dig and Dump method involves the excavation of all Japanese knotweed soils and disposed of as controlled waste to licensed landfill under EPA 1990 Duty of care guidelines. This would require 2 technicians, plant machinery and operative for 5 days.
Backfill material would not be required due to the works planned.
Works Complete
We are pleased to report the successful execution of all planned activities, which were completed to the required standards within the designated timeframe and budget.
The client was happy about the works completed and can now successfully proceed with demolition.
Congratulations to the entire team for a job well done!
