BACKGROUND
This is a commercial site based in Handsworth, we were contacted by the owner to conduct a survey as they suspected they had Japanese Knotweed.
SITE SURVEYS
The first and arguably most important stage of any successful management plan is to assess the extent of the problem, until this was fully understood we recommended that the client left the suspected Japanese Knotweed untouched and to leave a 1 metre boundary around the area.
Knotweed Services attended to conduct a survey in February 2018, although the suspected Japanese Knotweed was surrounded in such large vegetation (see images below) we had no choice to advise the client that the surrounding vegetation would need cutting down first so we can get to see the full extent of the problem.
This was arranged with client to carry out the cutting down of vegetation another appointment was made to carry out the works.
