It’s July and so far we have had heatwaves and storm clouds bringing both plenty of rain and sunshine. These are PERFECT conditions for Japanese knotweed growth. Today’s news story concentrates on a lovely couple from Stourbridge, as you can probably guess they required our Japanese knotweed removal Stourbridge treatment services . Today we also bring you something new – rather than pictures, our Japanese knotweed technicians, have video footage for us to view!

Stourbridge is a large town in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, in the West Midlands of England. Historically a part of Worcestershire, Stourbridge was a centre of glass making, and today includes the suburbs of Amblecote, Lye, Norton, Oldswinford, Pedmore, Wollaston, Wollescote and Wordsley. As with other locations within the Midlands – Japanese knotweed has had a heavy impact on the local environment with lots of reported Japanese knotweed infestations all over.

Initially, our clients found Japanese knotweed pretty and liked the decorative properties of the plant before finding out how much of a nightmare it can be if they ever decided to sell their property.

After going out to survey the property, we unfortunately discovered that the infestation had spread to their neighbours property. After an initial panic and a little shock, we reassured the client that we could take care of the infestation (including the neighbours) by using our stem injection technique over a period of a few years. They were even happier knowing they only had to pay per treatment – with no hefty upfront costs involved.

We discuss our Japanese knotweed removal Stourbridge strategies and methods of removal and eradication in detail with all our clients. We automatically provide you with the most effective strategies of elimination, along with the best value for money – we’ll counter and better any authentic like for like quotation. We are members of the PCA (read more below). You can expect a 25 year GPI backed warranty. We could continue however the evidence is within our ever growing portfolio of contented customers.

Japanese knotweed continues to be featuring heavily in the news (radio, TV and news papers). The government has recently introduced laws and penalties for those that don’t manage their Japanese knotweed invasion. You can now be fined upto £2500 (£20,000 if you’re a company) and receieve an ASBO!!

Discovering Japanese Knotweed on or around your property can be quite distressing. Knotweed Services UK understand that no one wants to be told their property is worth less because of an aggressive weed in their garden however Japanese Knotweed will inevitably devalue your property. Eradicating it yourself would be very difficult and would require lots of time researching the plant properly. It would also require you to purchase expensive equipment, that’s why we strongly suggest using a specialist contractor such as ourselves. We have the professional training and experience to effectively eradicate any Japanese Knotweed infestation.

Knotweed Services UK are PCA approved. The PCA is a government approved trade body for “the damp, waterproofing, wood preservation and invasive weeds industries”. As a member of the PCA we are required to adhere to strict standards in order to receive PCA membership. The application for membership is detailed and thorough. It is for these reasons that any company approved by the PCA can be trusted to provide the most effective solutions for Japanese knotweed removal. To find out more about the PCA please click here.
