Today we bring you a Japanese knotweed story that is different to the normal stories and updates that we would normally publish.
Different because we provided a useful site survey that proved Japanese Knotweed WAS NOT present on their property. One of our Japanese Knotweed field technicians attended at property in Finchley, London with suspected knotweed.
After the Site Survey was completed we were able to provide the client with a detailed survey confirming that there was NO evidence of knotweed in our professional opinion, therefore showing as no risk on the RICS chart.
This enabled the client to successfully sell their property – the initial surveyor (on behalf of lenders), falsely identified their property as having an infestation.

Remember, Japanese knotweed is not spread by seed, therefore, preventing access to the area should halt the knotweed’s ability to spread. It spreads by disrupting it and even a tiny piece of Japanese Knotweed will grow on soil – no matter how poor or infertile.
