Knotweed Services (UK) Ltd were instructed to carry out a large scale Japanese Knotweed screening job in The South East. The Japanese Knotweed screening process removes the Japanese Knotweed material from the soil and separates the subsequent arisings into two piles, one contaminated Japanese Knotweed for incineration and one low-risk soil. This approach removes the need to send controlled waste to licensed landfill and keep costs to a minimum.
The total infested area coverage for screening was approx. 6409m2. We had a team of 5 men working on the job for approx. 6 weeks screening all the Japanese Knotweed along with addition works such as vegetation clearances on site and badger sets to be monitored.
